Jacksonville University Christian thrashes Cambridge Christian in Class 2A final

University Christian forced three Tampa Cambridge Christian turnovers in their first eight plays on defense and four turnovers overall, which helped them jump out to a 21-0 lead 7 minutes and 24 seconds into the game.
University Christian cruised to a 61-16 victory over Cambridge Christian in the FHSAA Class 2A State Championship Game. The win gave the Fighting Christians their 8th State Championship in the school's 50 year history.
Senior RB/LB Hussein Howe led the charge for University Christian. Howe rushed for 191 yards and 5tds, He also had 9 tackles, 4tfl, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble, and a fumble recovery on defense! Junior RB Otis Anderson rushed for 107 yards with two tds, sophomore QB Clay Boyd had two rushing tds, and junior WR DJ Stubbs added 94 all purpose yards.
On defense, University Christian had nice performances from junior Titus Curry (7 tackles), freshman Uriah Ratliff (5 tackles, 2tfl), senior Ryan Brooks, and senior Suan Paul Nobles (2 ints).
