TALLAHASSEE -- Many wondered why Florida's best team would play so early in the State Championship sequence, playing in the first State Final game at 10AM on Thursday morning, kicking off the FHSAA State Championship series. It was clear. Chaminade-Madonna, with one of Florida's Best teams ever assembled, was akin to the likings of a collegiate football team, thus needed to acclimate themselves to the early kickoff conditions that await many of them on the next level.
