[MIAMI]- On a warm night in South Florida, Miami Northwestern senior QB Taron "Tyger" Dickens etched another huge accomplishment in his cemented legacy as one of the greatest Bulls to lead at quarterback.
Tyger threw for 281 yards in a 44-0 win versus district opponent Immaculata-Lasalle to break Miami-Dade's Passing Record of 10,020 passing yards, previously set by Miami Booker T. Washington's Torrey Washington during his 4-year reign as the Tornadoes' signal caller.
Dickens now holds the Miami-Dade Passing Record with 10,076 yards. The Bulls swept the 2M-14 Title and will advance as the district champion representative in the playoffs, where Dickens may continue to accumulate more passing yards to his current record sum.
