ORLANDO -- The Master's Academy quarterback Ty Poorman tossed four first half touchdowns passes and finished with five scoring tosses as the Eagles jumped out to 31-0 halftime lead and cruised to a 38-14 win over the Windermere Prep Lakers. The game had an 11:00 am kickoff on Saturday because it was rescheduled due to the threat of Hurricane Dorian.

After a botched quick kick by Windermere Prep, Poorman got things started when he threw a 34 yard scoring toss to Junior Anderson on the Eagles first offensive play. He also connected with Coastal Carolina commit Tyson Mobley with scoring passes that covered 57 and 35 yards to give Master's Academy an 18-0 lead with 5:49 remaining in the second quarter. A Yusef Leak 27 yard interception return for a score made it 25-0 and Poorman tossed a 23 yard touchdown pass to Junior Anderson 26 seconds before halftime to give the Eagles a 31-0 lead at intermission.

Winderemere Prep got on the board when backup quarterback Zane Fullmer connected with Ross Fournet for a 33 yard touchdown to make the score 31-6 with 2:44 left in the third quarter. The Master's Academy quickly responded a minute and two seconds later when Poorman tossed his fifth touchdown, a 16 yarder to Brandon Fitez which gave the Eagles a 38-6 lead near the end of the third quarter. The Lakers would add a second score when Fullmer tossed a 14 yard pass to Fournet with 48 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. A successful two point conversion made the final score 38-14.

The Master's Academy remains undefeated at (2-0) and will play at The First Academy (1-1) next week. Winderemere Prep falls to (1-2) and will travel to Central Florida Christian Academy (0-2) next week.
