Father Lopez took a big 40-6 lead into the locker room at halftime and Parker Koch nailed a 30 yard field goal with 5:03 left in the third quarter to bring out the running clock as the Green Wave trounced Deltona Trinity Christian 43-6 to improve to 5-2 on the season.
The Green Wave set the tone on special teams when Eddie Whipple scored on a 49 yard punt return. Wayne Matthews also contributed two rushing touchdowns. Quarterback T.J. Lockley added a score on the ground and tossed a touchdown pass to Whipple.
Defensively, Father Lopez made it tough night for Eagles quarterback Jacob Mullee by intercepting him four times.
