Deerfield Beach High School

Jeudy continues to establish himself as one of the budding ELITE receivers in the country. Jeudy caught 3 passes for 136 yards, and 2TD in Alabama's lopsided 62-7 thrashing of fellow SEC opponent Ole Miss. BTW, The other catch that didn't go for a TD was a nice highlight in itself with Jerry tiptoeing the sideline and had he not stepped out, he would have scored. His body control is phenomenal.

THIS: JERRY JEUDY has 11 catches and 6 TOUCHDOWNS!!!!! A WHOPPING 26.1 yards per catch!!!!!


DB ALVIN DAVIS -- Akron Zips
St. Thomas Aquinas (2x State Champion)

Davis had TWO PICK SIXES.... TWO!!!! Davis had a key 97-yard PICK SIX and then another 50 yard PICK SIX as Akron beat Northwestern 39-34. Davis has been named National Defensive Player of the Week by both Bronko Nagurski and the FWAA!



WR MARQUISE HOLLYWOOD BROWN -- Oklahoma Sooners
Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna

Brown is each week in and week out showing the nation why he is a real deep threat. This week he registered 9 catches, 191 yds and a TD.

In four games, 19 catches, 412 yards, 3 TD.

THIS: Brown has a whopping 21.7 average yards per catch!!!!





DE WYATT RAY -- Boston College
St. Thomas Aquinas

Ray had 8 tackles (7 SOLO) AND 4 SACKS in Thursday night's 41-34 win over Wake Forest..... 4 SACKS IN ONE GAME.. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!





LB ANTONIO JONES-DAVIS -- Northern Illinois
Vero Beach HS

Jones-Davis registered a whopping 16 tackles, with a double-digit 10 SOLO tackles!!!! The Huskies beat Central Michigan 24-16.



QB KATO NELSON -- Akron Zips
Pembroke Pines Flanagan HS

Nelson completed 17 of 28 passes for 277 yards and 2 TD as Akron beat Northwestern 39-34.




WR JAMARIUS WAY -- South Alabama
Belle Glade Glades Central

Way caught a career high 11 catches for 173 yards and a TD in 41-31 win over Texas State. He now has over 1000 career receiving yards in 2 years.



WR JEFF SMITH -- Boston College
Clearwater Central Catholic

Former QB broke loose for Boston College with 6 catches, 145 yards and 2 Big TDs in Eagles' Thursday night win vs. Wake Forest.





DB HAMP CHEEVERS -- Boston College
Trenton (State Champ)

Florida's Former Class 1A Player of the Year DB Hamp Cheevers recorded his 2nd INT of the season in a 41-24 win vs. ACC opponent Wake Forest.





TE RAVIAN PIERCE -- Syracuse
Plantation HS

Pierce had 3 catches for 34 yards a Big TD in the Orange's historic victory over Florida State. This is Pierce's second TD in 3 games.



WR DIONTAE JOHNSON -- Toledo
Ruskin Lennard HS

Johnson had 119 yards and 2TDs on 6 receptions vs. #21 Miami Hurricanes.





ATH MAURICE "HARD TIME" ALEXANDER -- Florida International University
Miami Booker T. Washington (State Champ)

Hard Time had and electric punt return and a receiving TD en route to 190 all purpose yards; as a result, was named to Paul Horning Award Weekly Honor Roll.





CB DONOVAN SHEFFIELD -- Vanderbilt Commodores
Brentwood Academy (TN) via Daytona Beach, Florida

Sheffield had 7 total tackles, 5 SOLO tackles versus #8 Notre Dame


LB JORDAN GRIFFIN -- Vanderbilt Commodores
Seffner Armwood HS

Griffin had 8 tackles, 5 being solo tackles, and a QB hurry versus #8 Notre Dame


LB TEVON CONEY -- Notre Dame
Palm Beach Gardens HS

Coney had 5 tackles, 3 of them Solo, and 2 QB hurries versus Vanderbilt Commodores


RB SHAUN SHIVERS -- Auburn
Chaminade-Madonna (State Champion)

Shivers ran 7 times for 25 yards, but had a Big Touchdown in Auburn's last second thrilling loss to LSU


RB ZACK MOSS -- Utah
Hallandale HS

Moss ran for 67 yards and a TD vs. #10 ranked Washington Huskies.


LB DEVIN BUSH, JR. -- Michigan
Pembroke Pines Flanagan (State Champ)

Bush had 5 solo tackles, 7 total tackles, 1 Tackle for Loss, and QB hurry vs. SMU


DB JOSH METELLUS -- Michigan
Pembroke Pines Flanagan (State Champ)

Metellus had a HUGE 73 yard PICK SIX. Also added 4 solo tackles, 5 total tackles, vs. SMU





DB DEANDRE BAKER -- Georgia
Miami Northwestern

Baker had 3 tackles and a Tackle For Loss in 49-7 stomping of MTSU.


DB TYSON CAMPBELL -- Georgia
Plantation American Heritage (State Champ)

True freshman starting CB Tyson Campbell had 3 solo tackles in 49-7 stomping of MTSU.



WR JAIVON HEILIGH -- Coastal Carolina
Venice (State Champion)

Florida's record holder WR Heiligh caught a TD in a 58-21 win over Campbell from his high school teammate Mr. Florida, Bryce Carpenter. This is the true freshman Heiligh's second TD reception of the season, both from Carpenter



QB BRYCE CARPENTER -- Coastal Carolina
Venice (State Champion)

Mr. Florida, Bryce Carpenter was 2/2 and threw a TD pass to his state champion Venice teammate Florida record holder WR Javon Heiligh in a 58-21 win over Campbell This is the true freshman Carpenter's second TD pass of the season, both to Heiligh.



WR FREDDIE JOHNSON -- Temple Owls
North Fort Myers HS

Sophomore WR Freddie Johnson had a career best 3 catches for 86 yards and a TD as Temple beat Maryland 35-14.


QB TODD CENTEIO -- Temple Owls
Dwyer HS

Freshman Toddy Centeio threw his 1st collegiate TD (on a fake punt), a 36 yarder to fellow FLORIDA BOY Freddie Johnson in Temple's 35-14 win over Maryland.




RB MIKE EPSTEIN -- Illinois
St. Thomas Aquinas (State Champion)

Mr. Mike Epstein had 113 yards on the ground and a TD. Epstein also caught 5 passes for 56 yards in Illinois' loss to South Florida.



TE DANIEL BARKER -- Illinois
Deerfield Beach

True freshman Daniel Barker had 4 catches for 30 yards for his first collegiate receptions in his early Fighting Illini career.


WR THOMAS GEDDIS -- Cincinnati
Pompano Beach Blanche Ely

Junior WR Thomas Geddis caught his 1st TD of the season in Bearcats' 63-7 domination of Alabama A&M.





WR KAHLIL LEWIS -- Cincinnati
Miramar HS

Senior WR Kahlil Lewis had 4 catches for 92 yards (and a long 61 yard TD) in Bearcats' 63-7 domination of Alabama A&M.




LB ROBERT HICKS -- Louisville
Miami Central

True freshman LB Robert Hicks registered double digit tackles in his first game recording stats. Hicks had a game high 11 tackles (5 Solo), a 1/2 sack, and a 1/2 Tackle for Loss in a 20-17 win over Western Kentucky.





RB KHALIL HERBERT -- Kansas
Plantation American Heritage

"Juice" Herbert rushed for a 59 yard TD in the Jayhawks' 55-14 rout of Rutgers.


QB PEYTON BENDER -- Kansas
Cardinal Gibbons
Bender was 8/12, 73 yards passing in 55-14 rout of Rutgers.



WR MIKE CARRIGAN -- Kent State
Tallahassee Godby HS

Carrigan caught 3 catches for 58 yards and a TD vs. Penn State.





LB REAKWON JONES -- Indiana
Lynn Haven Mosley

Jones had 5 solo tackles in 38-10 win over Ball State.


DB JONATHAN CRAWFORD -- Indiana
Largo HS

Crawford had 5 tackles and a Sack in 38-10 win over Ball State.


RB TIM JORDAN -- Tennessee
Bartow

Vols' sophomore Tim Jordan had 13 carries for 49 yards and a TD in 24-0 shutout of UTEP


RB DARIUS BRADWELL -- Tulane
Tallahassee Godby

Bradwell had 15 carries for 90 yards and his first TD of the season in 31-24 loss to UAB.





RB LUCIOUS STANLEY -- University of Alabama at Birmingham
North Fort Myers HS

Freshman Lucious had 8 carries for 56 yards in 31-24 win over Tulane.



LB LANCE DEVEAUX, JR. -- Northern Illinois
St. Thomas Aquinas

Lance had 9 tackles (5 Solo) and 1 Forced Fumble in Huskies' 24-16 win over Central Michigan.


WR DENNIS ROBINSON -- Northern Illinois
South Broward HS

This 6'4 Freshman catches his first career collegiate catch and first career TD ... at the same time, a 7 yd TD in Huskies' 24-16 win over Central Michigan.


RB BRYCE WILLIAMS -- Minnesota
Sarasota Cardinal Mooney

Bryce Williams had 33 carries for 141 yards in Golden Gophers' 26-3 win over Miami (OH).


RB MALEEK WILLIAMS --Arkansas
Punta Gorda

Freshman Maleek Williams led team in rushing with 5 carries for 74 yards in Razorbacks' 44-17 upset by North Texas Mean Green.
