Florida, the opening week of high school football is in the books. Each week as teams focus on the game at hand with their eyes on the prize of driving to Orlando in December.

Let's take a look at some of the big games and happenings in Week 1.

THE CLASH OF THE TITANS AT TRAZ
The Game of the Year was a great way to start the 2016.#1 vs #1 in 1. Nationally ranked #1 St. Thomas Aquinas to face #1 Mighty Miami Booker T. Washington at Traz. Both defending state champs, both teams coming off demanding wins in their preseason game. Who could want more... especially in the 1st game of the week. And the game lived up to the hype. Halted briefly by Lightning... even speculative at a time if the game would have continued. All-world WR Trevon Grimes gets it down to the 1 yard line with less than a minute to go. Reminds you of how close the Tennessee Titans were to winning a Super Bowl, when the late great Steve McNair threw to who was denied with his outstretched arm.

Welcome back to Miami Booker T. Washington head coach and legend Tim "Ice" Harris, Sr. Ice had been part of the Miami Hurricanes staff. Who could deny a man who has taken Miami Booker T. Washington. Even in his absence, Harris had the program built to where they won 2 consecutive State Championships.
