Derrick Henry caps historic season with National Championship

From the north Florida city of Yulee, to the annals of collegiate greatness. Derrick Henry is legend.

Derrick Henry battered defenses. The 6'3", 242 pound chiseled bruiser was fed the rock, and fed the rock. Brute force with breakaway speed equates to a running back that delivers.

And Derrick Henry has delivered. The 2016 Heisman Trophy Winner capped his historic record breaking season by leading Alabama to a National Championship win over Clemson, 45-40.

He rushed for 158 yards and 3 TDs in the National Championship game. His first touchdown illustrated his prowess, breaking free after a stiff arm and then untouched to the end zone. At 242, big boy can move.

Henry has shattered records. His record season of 2,219 yards is the most by any SEC back... IN HISTORY. And we know there have been some great ones, like Herschel, Bo. Derrick is now part of that club and may have had arguably a better season than the other two legends.
